Description

Excalibur is a division of Contact Sales Ltd, a distributor of video games and peripherals since 1997. Excalibur published its first PC games in 2004. Since then it has grown into one of the most prolific and successful simulations specialists in the PC publishing market. With a skilled team of 9 at head office, we have published in excess of 350 titles and have numerous development and retail partners throughout the world.

History

Strong Foundations

Excalibur Games has worked with SCS Software to publish the world-renowned Truck Simulator series since 2008, with the debut of Euro Truck Simulator – a game that reshaped the sim genre. Other entries to the franchise, such as Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, are also some of gaming’s most beloved simulators. With recent add-ons such as Vive La France! proving as popular as ever, the franchise continues to grow.

Excalibur Games also published GIANTS Software’s Farming Simulator 2009, playing a key role in setting the now flagship franchise up for success.

Another much loved series that Excalibur Games has published is Astragon’s Construction Simulator, which is now a thriving franchise.

A Bright Future

Since Excalibur Games’ conception, the publishing firm has moved to create fantastic first party games too. In August 2015, Shoppe Keep launched in Early Access, going on to sell upwards of 120,000 copies and be nominated for IndieDB’s Indie of the Year Award. Following this, the publisher has released the beloved Jalopy, along with various Early Access hits such as Flashing Lights, Shoppe Keep 2 and Tracks – The Train Set Game.

Alongside Steam releases, Excalibur Games is also licenced to launch games for Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Platforms

A bright future lies ahead for Excalibur, with parent company Contact Sales having 20 years of experience under its belt. With a wealth of games in Early Access, and a bunch of tantalising new projects on the horizon, the months and years ahead are an exciting time for Excalibur and their players.
